With almost 30 years’ experience, Ana will share the fascinating story of this pioneering house, one of vision and sheer tenacity that has made the house what it is today.  Experience a selection of wines and ports throughout dinner whilst gaining insights into the unique character of the Douro Valley, the ageing and cellaring techniques, and the resulting complex flavours offered by some of the longest-lived wines of the world.

Founded in 1880 by brothers Adriano and Antonio, the establishment of Ramos Pinto heralded a new era in the Douro.

By maintaining the balance between innovation and respect for tradition, the house continues to go from strength to strength and is today a reference point for quality wines and port in the Douro.

Renowned for its founder’s creative streak, Ramos Pinto created a link between top-quality wine and its original, avant-garde marketing. In 1990, Ramos Pinto joined forces with Champagne Louis Roederer, and the shared ethos has taken the house to new heights. It is still very much a family affair, with Jorge Rosas at the helm.
