Marketing Executive

Full time, permanent 37.5hrs/week

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and friendly person to join the Northcote family. You will work closely with the small, dynamic marketing team to create and implement marketing content and activity.

This position requires a competent, driven and engaging individual who is willing to approach multiple projects simultaneously. You must have strong written skills and be eager to work in a busy and fast-paced environment. Northcote may be located in a quiet part of Lancashire, but the hotel is always bustling with activity! The role assists with all marketing initiatives to drive engagement, sales, retention, leads and positive customer behaviour. Directly reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director.

Role Responsibilities

  • To promote Northcote Hotel and Restaurant keeping up to date with content trends
  • To promote and raise the profile of Executive Chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen and other Northcote team members
  • Assist with all marketing strategies both internal and external across multiple platforms
  • Assisting in ideation, planning, and execution of the marketing strategy
  • Ensuring brand consistency
  • Creating social media content and implementing digital marketing campaigns
  • Maintaining the marketing strategy
  • Planning and creating website content
  • Using the Guest Management System to publish marketing newsletters, automated emails and transactional emails
  • Managing tasks to timescales from marketing calendar
  • General administration within the marketing department
  • Supporting print management, assisting with managing PR requests and photography
  • Experience in developing campaigns and content, partnerships and social media communications
  • Experience in marketing with Digital and PR knowledge (preferable)
  • The ability to run multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative writing skills
  • Experience with different digital and social media platforms, dashboard tools such as Sprout, Google Analytics and skills in software like Photoshop and InDesign are a bonus
  • Previous marketing role or qualifications in marketing and communications
  • Time management skills to prioritise workload
