Take your grilling game to the next level with the opportunity to learn from experienced chefs and grill masters who will teach you the techniques needed to create mouth-watering BBQ dishes that will impress the whole family and make you the envy of any get-together! Whether you are a seasoned pro or a beginner, our masterclass is designed to help you improve your skills and expand your culinary horizons. But it’s not just about the cooking; this masterclass is a fun and social experience. You’ll meet other BBQ enthusiasts and can share tips and tricks throughout the day.

During the day, you’ll learn everything from fish cookery, direct and indirect cooking, smoking, long and slow cooking, and how to control your BBQ. This course is an insight into the fundamentals of BBQ, including some hands-on cooking, as well as demonstrations from our tutors, where you are encouraged to ask questions and discuss the method at hand.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, enjoy an alfresco lunch, sampling everything that you and your classmates have made throughout your visit! Please note that the dishes you prepare will be paired with wine during lunch. You may wish to arrange transport to and from Northcote so that you can thoroughly enjoy your wine flight. Non-alcoholic alternatives, such as mocktails, soft drinks and non-alcoholic beers, can be requested.

  • Moroccan Spiced lamb shoulder, homemade flatbread, cracked wheat salad, coal-roasted baba ghanoush, smoked hummus (demonstration from Tutor Rick)
  • Jerk beer can chicken, thyme and allspice Hasselback potatoes
  • Rump Steak Sandwich
  • Citrus Cured Trout, Romesco Sauce
  • BBQ Ribs (demonstration from Tutor Rick)
  • Apple & Fennel Slaw
  • English cracked wheat salad
