Lisa cooked up a storm with her famous Apple Crumble and Custard with a special twist.

Good Old Apple Crumble

Makes 4

Ingredients

Crumble:
85g Plain Flour
60g Butter
60g Golden Granulated Sugar
1/4 tsp Cinnamon Powder
50g Sultanas
Filling
2 Medium Bramley Apples
2 Medium Granny Smith Apples
100g Golden Granulated Sugar

Method for the Crumble Topping:

1. Rub Flour and Butter together until sandy texture, add granulated sugar, sultanas and cinnamon mix well.

Method for the Filling:
1. Pre heat the oven to 180c
2. Peel and core the apples, cut in to a pan with the sugar and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes until the apples are soft
3. Pour the stewed apples in to an oven proof dish
4. Cover with the crumble on top (about 1cm thick)
5. Bake in oven for 15 minutes until golden brown
Extra Tip:

f you have any left over Apple Crumble, top tip from Lisa – blend a few scoops with a home-made or shop bought custard, best is out of the fridge section, but you can use the carton, you just may have to add some apple juice or milk to thin down.

Once blended you have the most amazing apple crumble custard, add to your favourite fruits, or with some ice cream for a tasty treat
