We are delighted that the Holland & Holland team will be joining us for a dinner at Northcote to give an insight into one of the world’s leading gunsmiths. Holland & Holland is the very hallmark in the craft of fine British sporting shotguns and rifles, setting the standard for generations and admired the world over.
Time-honored gun making skills and state of the art machinery combine effortlessly to instill quality and artistry into every shotgun and rifle produced. For many owners these are not just guns, they are works of art.
During dinner you will learn how founder Harris Holland, a tobacconist by trade, established a company to produce his own shooting arms to what it has become today, producing a small quantity of beautifully adorned, consummately balanced guns each year. They will talk about some of their finest guns, such as the ‘Royal’ Side by Side, quintessentially London “Best” gun, perfected over a century or the ‘Royal’ Over and Over, the ultimate blend of tradition and innovation and The Sporting Gun, created as an outstanding game and clay pigeon gun.
You will understand how this world renowned hand-crafted company works today at their London flagship gunroom and Dallas gunroom, along with the prestigious Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds set in 60 acres just outside London and the services they offer.
The next chapter at Holland & Holland promises to be something of a re-birth, and the passion and progress they are expecting will be explained as they continue their pursuit of excellence.
