Based in Appledore, Kent, the original Gusbourne estate dates back to 1410. In 2004, Andrew Weeber took over the estate with a clear vision and a single goal: to create English sparkling wines that would stand alongside the very finest offerings from across the globe.
On south facing vineyards just six miles from the English Channel, Gusbourne grow the classic Champagne grape varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Their wines are made exclusively from their own estate grown grapes, ensuring as little intervention as possible to express both the soil and the year of production.
Since their first release in 2010, Gusbourne wines have received critical acclaim in major UK and international competitions. In 2017 Gusbourne was named ‘English Wine Producer of the Year’ at the International Wine and Spirit Competition, having previously won the award in 2013 and 2015.
Having opened their tasting room, The Nest in 2017 Gusbourne is delighted to welcome visitors to the picturesque Kent countryside for tours and tastings.
