Hospitality Action
For over 170 years Hospitality Action, the Hospitality Industry Benevolent Organisation, has been at the forefront of the industry providing specialised support to all who work, or have worked within hospitality in the UK and who, through no fault of their own, find themselves in crisis.
Hospitality Action offers vital assistance
to those who need it most. We support
people suffering from serious illnesses and
help those experiencing poverty, domestic
violence and bereavement. Over 80 per cent of the
help we give to our beneficiaries is due to severe
financial hardship or life-changing illness while 74 per
cent of those we support are under the age of 60.
The hospitality industry can be a demanding place
to work with many employees exposed to drink and
drugs. The Ark Foundation, part of Hospitality Action,
helps tackle the problems of the excessive effects
of these substances via educational seminars. These
seminars are carried out by experienced industry
professionals who have fallen victim to substance abuse.
