Hook Norton Pottery
Hook
Norton Pottery is owned and run by Russell Collins. Russell studied
at Harrow Art School and has worked with renowned potters such
as Norah Bradon, Mick Casson, Colin Pearson and David Leach.
Russell has been producing hand-thrown pots at Hook Norton Pottery since establishing his workshop in 1969. During that time his work has established both a national and international reputation. The pottery is situated on the edge of England 's beautiful Cotswolds and is housed in specially converted farm buildings dating back to the 17th Century.
A team of potters participate in all stages of production which includes throwing on a traditional potters wheel, decorating, and glazing the pots as well as kiln firing. Finished work can be seen in the gallery which is open all year round. Visitors are welcome to look around both here and in the workshop.
