Congratulations to Lisa Allen, North West winner on Great British Menu for the second time!
Congratulations to Lisa Allen, North West winner on Great British Menu for the second time!

On Friday 22nd April, Lisa Allen was named the winner of the North West regional heat on BBC2's Great British Menu.

Lisa was crowned the North West winner by the Great British Menu judges, Oliver Peyton, Prue Leith and Matthew Fort. In the North West regional heat Lisa had to beat stiff competition from Johnnie Mountain and former Northcote chef Jason Birbeck. Before facing the judges the chefs had to impress chef Marcus Wearing who is renowned for his harsh marks on the programme. Lisa received an outstanding 34 points out of a possible score of 40 from Marcus which enabled her to cook for the judges.

Lisa will be competing in the finals for a dish to be represented at The Big Lunch banquet.
