The National Restaurant Awards are the result of an extensive survey that asks chefs; food critics and restaurateurs from all over the country to select the seven best restaurants they have eaten in during the last 12 months. From these votes, Restaurant magazine compiles a list of the UK’s Top 100; Northcote placed 26th this year, and took the prestigious title of “Hotel Restaurant of the Year”

At the glamorous AA Hospitality Awards, Craig and Nigel, along with Head Chef Lisa Allen, General Manager Peter Saunders and Kirk Haworth, collected the hugely coveted awards from the AA from Penny Smith.

Firstly the recognition of the food offering increased to 4 AA Rosettes, only 3 other venues were awarded an extra rosette this year, plus an extra star to 4 AA Red Stars for the exceptional quality, comfort, cleanliness and customer care.

This is a huge achievement for the team at Northcote, to be recognised as such an industry leader (there are only 3 other venues in England, outside of London, with 4 Rosettes and 4 Red stars) placing Northcote in company of impressive venues, such as Gidleigh park and Hambleton Hall.

Northcote’s restaurant is currently having a complete re-fit and will re-open for dinner on Saturday 23rd October.

To enjoy the new restaurant make sure you ring for a reservation, particularly for weekends, advance bookings are needed to avoid disappointment.
