| Lisa Wins This Year's BBC2 Great British Menu And Cooks Starter For Royal Family |

Our very own Lisa Allen, Head Chef and the only female chef to make it on BBC 2’s popular Great British Menu Final, was watched by millions last week when she cooked her winning dish “Levens Hall Wild Rabbit & Leek Turnover, Piccalilli” at the banquet in celebration of the National trust.
The judges described this dish as “homage to rabbit”, “delicious beyond belief” and “very elegant and sophisticated”.
Nigel, Craig and all the team are so proud of what she has achieved “Lisa represents the spirit of Northcote moving forward, I am extremely proud of her as a chef and her achievements in this competition. I cannot think of anyone better to cook for the Royal Family at the banquet who represents the strength of young British cooks today.” Nigel.

| Craig Is Invited Into The Academy Of Food & Wine 2010 Hall Of Fame |

The Restaurant manager of the Year gala dinner saw the crème de la crème of the industry invited to join the Academy of Food & Wine’s Restaurant Manager Hall of Fame.
The Academy of Food and Wine is a not for profit Social Enterprise, membership organisation and is the Professional body for Front of House Service Personnel focusing on improving the quality of personnel and the image of Front of House Service as a meaningful career choice. Affiliated to the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale, the Academy of Food & Wine is the official professional body for Sommeliers working in the UK.

| Craig Becomes A Master Innholder |

Last week Craig was greatly honoured to be made a member of this elite group of industry figure heads who collectively work together to improve the industry and make a difference to its future.
The formation of the Master Innholders was the first step taken by the WCI towards renewing its old links with innkeeping. In common with many other Livery Companies it had few links with the modern day industry.
The award of membership is open to practicing hotel general managers by application each year. Candidates have to undergo a rigorous interview where they have to clearly demonstrate not only their innkeeping ability, but also continuing support for improving standards within the industry.
With the full support of the Worshipful Company of Innholders and the Institute of Hospitality, the Master Innholders have slowly grown in number and have increased their influence and charitable activities within the hotel industry.
