The Highwayman was awarded this year the Highest Assured award from “Taste Lancashire”, and received 96% accreditation from “Made In Lancashire” for our commitment to using local produce. In the 2009 guide The Highwayman is recognized as the “North West Regional Winner – by impressing the survey reporters with its 21st century version of “the local”. Now there’s even more top hospitality experience on hand at the Highwayman as Robert Broadbent takes over as our new General Manager. Carl Dilks remains with Ribble Valley Inns and is now the General Manager at The Clog and Billycock.

A first for Ribble Valley Inns, as we have decided to introduce reservations for those of you taking a trip up to the top end of Lancashire in the Winter months. Reservations will be taken from Monday – Friday for lunch or dinner, so you can be sure there is a table waiting for you. Saturdays and Sundays still operate on an informal basis, with the blackboard waiting list when every table is taken..but even then we can normally seat you in no time at all....don’t forget though we still take a limited number of bookings for large parties of 6 or more.
