The Great British Menu journey finally came to an end… and what a journey for Nigel – right through to the final.

This has been a great opportunity for Nigel to show case his individual style and his local food heroes. By reaching the final, once again Nigel has firmly placed the North West and in particular Lancashire as a serious food destination within the UK.

Comment from Nigel:
"It’s been a fantastic experience to be part of this year’s Great British Menu and I have been overwhelmed by the support I have received. Thank you to all of you who voted and your notes of encouragement throughout the Great British Menu series."

Thank you for all your support.

Drawing Competition for our Young Visitors

The Three Fishes & The Highwayman WINNERS

Again we have been inundated with some fantastic and inventive great drawings. It is important to all of us at Ribble Valley Inns to encourage children to come along, enjoy great nutritional produce and have some fun learning about different food on the play sheet we offer children when dining.

This month we have introduced a new Summer education sheet for the children, with new competitions.

One for drawing and one for any young and enthusiastic chefs who can enter their favorite recipe to win a day in the kitchen with Nigel!

The winners of this quarter's competition are

11 Year Old Nathan of Clitheroe, Lancashire
&
6 Year Old Eve Atkinson of Collingham Park, Lancaster

First it was The Three Fishes that netted the country’s top awards. Two years later The Highwayman stole the thunder adding some more accolades to an already impressive line-up. Now it’s the turn of the Clog and Billycock in Pleasington, Lancashire to be transformed into a Ribble Valley Inn.

Work has now commenced, as the pub undergoes a £1.3million transformation, due to open end of August.
