This year’s BBQ course was a real sizzler.

As ever, this year’s BBQ Cookery Course was a hot favourite…a sell-out to fans of gourmet alfresco dining who spent the day learning some great techniques, learning how to match wine…and enjoying some fabulous food too. Even the weather was perfect.

Seasonal Speciality 

This months seasonal specialities are Peter Ascroft’s Cauliflowers. The Ascroft family has been farming the land around Holmes, near Tarleton since the turn of the century. They grow the plants from seed, plant out in March, when the weather starts to warm up, then in about 10 – 12 weeks they are ready to cut.
